Behind the Sherydane brand hides the story of a young woman.

When I was little, my mother unfortunately could not afford sanitary napkins for me and my two older sisters. Fatherless, my mother, with her only salary as a carer, counted every cent to support us. So when I got my period for the first time, she offered me several scraps of old towels and old fabrics that she had carefully washed and put away in her dresser. I must admit that I felt very ashamed in front of my friends and I was careful not to tell them what I was using. One day when I felt uncomfortable for an EPC check with her small machine, my mother found the solution to superimpose several scraps of fabric so that I could not lose my protections. When I was 16 after my first job, I was happy to be able to buy tampons and sanitary napkins like a grown-up. But at 28 years after having watched a report on the toxicity of tampons, the testimonies of young woman victim of handicap or died because of this product which puts inside us. I think back to my mother, it seemed obvious to me to go back to the source. I later understood during a conversation with my very conservative mother that she had only used those things that she described as weird without on purpose my mother had protected me. I realized that it was also a transmission between mother and daughter.
